Emily Badillo (Emily)
Emily Badillo was first introduced to the power of connecting the mind-body with the breath while volunteering abroad in India. Sparked by the transformative power of yoga, she signed up for as many yoga classes as she could when she returned home to New York. While practicing in New York, she was fortunate to have studied with Sadie Nardini, Shiva Rea, and Elena Brower who have all influenced her personal practice and teaching methods. Emily left the concrete jungle in the summer of 2015 in order to be closer to Mother Nature on the island of Oahu. An avid student with a thirst for knowledge, Emily completed her 200 Hr Teacher Training with E-RYT 500 Murti Hower. She also studied Sanskrit with Dharma Widdman. In her classes, Emily strives to provide her students with the structural support for mind-body alignment by connecting with the breath through asana, pranayama, yoga nidra, and a blend of yin and yang sequences. Emily's goal is to provide a meditative space for all of her students, so they can reconnect with their inner-child and divine being. Emily is currently working towards her 500-Hr certification with Open Space Yoga and is also a student of Psychology and Sociology at the University of Hawai`i at Manoa and considers herself a life-long student of incorporating playfulness, focus, love, and truth into her daily practices on and off the mat.
